New VAT regulations starting on Jan. 1st, 2015

To our EU-based customers

Due to the European Commission's Council Directive 2008/8/EC of 12 February 2008, when consumers who are subject to paying EU VAT and who are established within the European Community make an online purchase, will be charged the VAT rate of their own Member State.

This basically means that Netcetera will have to apply VAT rates based on where you live. As of January 1, 2015 - and - if you are subject to pay EU VAT, you will no longer pay the the UK rate (which is 20%), but the rate of the EU Member State in which you are located, based on the billing address you indicated.

More information on this can be found on the European Commission's website at:

http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/taxation/vat/traders/e-commerce/index_en.htm

You are not affected by the new legislation if you are located outside European Union or if you provide a valid European Union VAT ID.

In case you're affected, you might encounter minimal price-changes on your invoices, depending on where you are located. Base-prices (net prices) of our products are not subject to change, only the VAT rate applied on top will differ.

Thank you for using our services: please don't hesitate to let us know if you need further assistance.
